About the System

The whole system is based on Twig 2.7.5, a collection of php3 scripts for managing a webmail server. On this place many thanks to the guys spending lot of time for this! We redesigned the pages and added a few more functions to create and manage useraccounts from the web. The servers are based on Linux 2.4 running Postfix and Imap.
All user settings, preferences and data is stored in a MySQL database, connected to an Apache webserver. As you see all parts of our system are 100% free and based on non-M$ technology!

Currently the maximum mailbox size for a user is 50MB, which is also the max. size of an email to be sent or received. We think this should be enough for a webmail gateway. If you have problems storing your tons of emails, please let us know, so we can talk about it ;-)

The site is concepted in plain HTML with tables and cookies, so that you can use this service with almost any browser. We've tested successfully the service using Netscape 1.22 on an 486PC connected with a 14.4kbps modem (no joke!).
